Anita Davis’ first beading project began at a young age; it was a simple flower.
She didn’t bead again for over 20 years, until the 80’s, when her cousin Delcie said to her, “you know you want to bead” as she was handed a small white bundle. Inside the bundle was a pair of white baby moccasins along with blue beads. To this day, Anita still has the small white bundle with the white baby moccasins inside. She went on to bead several times after that; she enjoys beading roses and eagles, and designing and creating one of a kind, colorful U-Niq jewelry.
In October 2011, Anita entered the 19th Annual Warm Springs Tribal Member Arti Exhibit and placed first.
